Rotary needs help for Bikes for Tykes

November 6, 2012

The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens has sponsored the “Bikes for Tykes” program for the past 11 years. This wonderful program provides new and like-new bikes to deserving children.

Families can apply using forms for a child age 12 or under, who needs a bicycle. The funds are distributed through the Family Center and Food Bank.

Their theme has been “Shouldn’t Every Kid Get a Bike for Christmas?”

The program has been extremely popular and often they do not have enough bikes to give away.

Rotary needs your help!

They budget money from available club funds to the program but still have to raise additional monies through donations directed to the Bikes for Tykes program to make the program successful.

They buy brand new bikes and give them to children whose families would not otherwise be able to purchase them.

You can make a donation to the Bikes for Tykes program. You can click on the link below and make a donation using PayPal.

Donations can be made to the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens, P.O. Box 908, Lake Stevens, Washington 98258. To donate, send your tax deductible contribution payable to the Lake Stevens Rotary Club Foundation, a non-profit organization, tax ID 31-1633811.
