Employer Benefits of Hiring Veterans Seminar
December 5, 2012 (Everett, WA) — Workforce Development Council Snohomish County, in partnership with WorkSource Snohomish County, will be hosting a free seminar on advantages of employers in hiring veterans on December 5, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Everett Station, Weyerhaeuser Room, fourth floor, 3201 Smith Ave, in Everett.
The seminar will include information about the benefits of hiring veterans including tax advantages, as well as supplemental wage programs available to participating employers. Employers will also learn how to best connect with qualified veteran candidates.
“Many businesses don’t know about or how to take advantages of the federal incentives available for hiring veterans,” explains Amy Persell, Director of Service Delivery at Workforce Development Council Snohomish County. “By educating local employers about these advantages, their companies benefit and we help those who served our country find valuable employment.”
