The police department responded to 548 incidents in the week of December 16, 2012 through December 22, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Hit and Run Collision, 12/14/12

91st Ave. NE/Vernon Rd.

Officers responded when a female reported she had been involved in a collision and the other vehicle had left the scene. The suspect’s vehicle and driver were located a short time later, and charges were forwarded to Marysville Municipal Court.


Assault 2° Domestic Violence (DV)/Malicious Mischief

(Mal Mis) 3° DV, 12/17/12

8900 block of 10th St. NE

A 15-year-old male was arrested for Assault 2° DV and Mal Mis 3° DV. Officers responded when it was reported that the male suspect had assaulted and threatened his mother and destroyed items within the residence. The male was transported and booked into DYC without incident.


Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV), 12/20/12

14th St. SE/79th Ave. SE

A 23-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV. During an argument, the male suspect assaulted his 23-year-old girlfriend and kicked out the passenger window of the victim’s car. The male was booked into Marysville Jail.


Vehicle Theft, 12/21/12

9500 block of 4th St. SE

During a traffic stop, an officer discovered that the vehicle stopped had been stolen during the night. Officers contacted the vehicle owner, who confirmed that no one had permission to have their vehicle. The 17-year-old driver admitted to stealing the vehicle and charges were forwarded to DYC.


Criminal Trespass, 12/21/12

2900 block of 113th Ave. NE

An 18-year-old male was arrested for Criminal Trespass. The male arrived at school under the influence and took a seat in a classroom while class was in session. The teacher did not recognize the male subject and noted the subject was sweating and appeared to be extremely high. Officers responded within seconds and the suspect was taken into custody and booked into Marysville Jail.
