Please join the Lake Stevens Senior Center, 2302 Soper Hill Road, for the following activities in January—remember, you don’t have to be a senior to take advantage of the Center activities.

AARP Safe Driving Class

Jan. 7 & 9

The Next AARP Driver Safety class has been scheduled for Monday, January 7 and Wednesday, January 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a two-part class and you must attend both days for certification. Become a more skilled and competent driver and save on your auto insurance. There is a sign-up sheet available at the Center or call 425-335-0345 for more info.

Relaxation Class Jan. 9

A one-hour Relaxation/De-stress Workshop, will be offered at the Center on Wed ., January 9, at 11 a.m. Let Louise Fellows teach you how to refresh, renew and recharge, with simple relaxation techniques, set to music. This workshop welcomes all adults in the community.

A donation of $1 for LSSC members, $2 for guests is suggested. For information contact the office at 425-335-0345. No advanced registration is required.

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser Jan. 12

The next Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mark your calendar and plan to join others for all you can eat pancakes, served with sausage, eggs, juice, fruit and coffee.

The suggested donation is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Remember, this fundraiser happens the second Saturday of each month, so mark your calendar and be sure to invite your friends and family!

Estate Planning Seminar Jan. 23

Please join the Senior Center on Wednesday, January 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a very informative Estate Planning Seminar. Guest speakers will be Kevin Lockard from Edward Jones and Gus Lindsey III from the Law Office of G. Benjamin Lindsey III.
