Granite Falls HS food drive another huge success

January 7, 2013

One of the student food drive coordinators, Megan Davis, fills a box of donated food for local families.

The food covered three hallways of the school.

The annual Granite Falls High School Food Drive was an amazing success exceeding its goal of raising 15,000 items and $4,500. Students gathered 20,390 food and personal items (toothbrushes, shampoo, etc.) and almost $13,000 in cash and gift card donations! The food drive provided enough food for a month for 120 families and several gifts including stockings for 312 children and enough food was also donated to the local food banks to help another several hundred families.
