Barista Arrests In Everett

Everett Police arrested three baristas today following a two-month long undercover investigation for probable cause for violating Everett’s Adult Cabaret law.

“Citizens complained that these locations served more than just coffee,” said Lt. James Duffy of the Criminal Intelligence Unit. “Indeed, our investigation uncovered exhibition and exposure which is outside the confines of the law. During the investigation, video surveillance showed that at times coffee or drinks were not served, but shows were paid for and given.”

On February 20, 2013, just after 1 p.m., Everett Police detectives arrested three baristas at two separate locations after concluding an investigation and developing probable cause for violating Everett’s Adult Cabaret law (EMC 5.120.070). All three female baristas work at Grab-N-Go coffee stand locations in Everett which are located at 2030 Broadway Ave. and 333 SW SE Everett Mall Way.

Detectives will continue their investigation into all aspects of the case to determine if the coffee stand owners are involved.
