Let there be peace
As we continue our 47th season, we invite you to join us for our second concert as the Everett Chorale presents Let There Be Peace on Sunday, April 7th. This inspiring and heartfelt performance, under the direction of Lee Mathews, will be at the Everett Performing Arts Center at 2710 Wetmore Avenue in downtown Everett.
This outstanding program is filled with beautiful songs promoting love, peace and harmony! We begin with “In Perfect Harmony” followed by highlighting Johannes Brahms’ “Liebeslieder Waltzer” with four-hand accompaniment on the piano. John Jorgenson joins Kim Croft at the piano, and our four soloists noted above will be featured in some of these wonderful love song waltzes.
Following the intermission, the Chorale will present a medley of inspirational songs with some in different languages. African songs include “Bonse Aba”, a traditional Zambian song, “Amani”, which is Swahili for Peace and “Children of Peace” (Suluhisha, Suluhiana…which means make peace with each other). “Al Shlosha D’varim”, and “Ose Shalom” are inspiring Hebrew songs encouraging truth, justice and peace. “Make Me An Instrument Of Thy Peace”, “Deep Peace”, “In Harmony”, “I Dream A World”, “Earth Song”, “Let There Be Peace” and others are sure to touch your heart! You will even have the opportunity to join the Chorale in a sing-along to one of these favorite and well known tunes! This is a concert you don’t want to miss!
Share the joy of music by inviting a friend or family member to join you for these amazing performances! The Everett Chorale continues to provide performances of quality choral music for the cultural growth and entertainment of singers and audiences throughout Snohomish county and surrounding areas.
