Rotary Club holding two big fundraisers in support of the community

May 14, 2013

The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens is hosting it’s second Annual Wine & Beer Tasting and Silent Auction at the Port of Everett, Waterfront Center, 1205 Craftsman Way on May 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $25 and tickets can be purchased on-line at or from any club member.

Wines will be offered from Chateau Ste. Michelle, Dubindil Winery, Kestrel Vintners, Port Gardner Bay Winery and Sojen Cellars and beer will be offered by Lake Stevens Brewing Company and Scuttlebutt Brewing Company. Rainy Days Caffe will provide coffee.

The second fundraiser is in the beginning stages with club members securing sponsors and advertisers for the 18th annual Duck Dash held on Sunday during Aquafest in downtown Lake Stevens. Sponsors and advertisers appear on all tickets and banners when local and area residents purchase a Duck Dash ticket from a club member. Sponsorships range from $100 to $5,000 for Platinum level. For more information, contact Gary O’Rielly at 425-308-9139.

In the past, funds from these events have supported Homeless Students in the Lake Stevens School District, Bikes for Tykes, Community Supper, High School scholarships for seniors at Lake Stevens and Granite Falls High Schools and projects brought to us by club members.

They support and give sponshorships to Cub Scout Pack 88, Kid’s Oasis Park, North Cove Park, Global Projects, Lake Stevens Education Foundation, Lake Stevens Family Center, Lake Stevens Senior Center and Lake Stevens Boys and Girls Club.
