Bring your Fire Escape Plan to the LSF booth at the Health & Safety Fair

June 4, 2013

Lake Stevens Fire will be partnering with Subway Owner Dave LaCoursiere at the Health & Safety Fair this year to encourage families to have their fire escape plans in place.

The first 25 children to bring in a drawing of their family’s fire escape plan to the Lake Stevens Fire Booth, will receive a FREE ticket that is good for a regular 6” sandwich at Subway located at 1819 South Lake Stevens Road, Lake Stevens.

Each fire escape plan should identify two ways out of every room and the family’s meeting place outside of the house.

LSF Public Educator Jennye Cooper commented, “For several years we have emphasized the importance of having a fire escape plan in place in case of an emergency. Unfortunately we continue to hear from families who do not yet have an escape plan in place. Our hope is that these tickets from Subway will provide an incentive for families to create a plan and be prepared.”

The Health & Safety Fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Albertson’s parking lot. This annual event is hosted by Lake Stevens Fire and Lake Stevens Police. Admission is FREE and there is also a FREE raffle to participate in. Make plans to attend and have some fun while you learn health and safety tips for everyday life. Remember to bring your fire escape plan.
