LSEF awards Innovative Learning Grants

During the grant cycle of April 30, 2013 the following have received grants from the Lake Stevens Education Foundation:

Hillcrest Elementary – Assistive Technology for struggling writers in the classroom.

Mt. Pilchuck Elementary - Build to Express kits for first and second grades.

Lake Stevens High School – Interactive White boards for Life Skills classes.

During the next grant cycle which begins October 30, 2013 LSEF is looking forward to innovative proposals from classrooms and schools within the school district.

Lake Stevens Education Foundation keeps the grant money in their local classrooms and fund raise to have $10,000 each year.

Past grants awarded in 2012 include:

Early Learning Center – cooking cart and balance bikes;

Highland and Mt. Pilchuck “Leader in Me” program:

Cavelero – Drama club;

Highland - musical instruments.
