Longtime Lake Stevens resident Jean Ann Toyer passes away

Jean Ann Toyer, a longtime resident of Lake Stevens and wife of former Mayor Richard Toyer, passed away unexpectedly on June 18. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend,

She was born in Seattle, WA on June 27, 1946 to parents, Joe and Alice Moore and graduated from Monroe High School.

She was married to Richard for over 46 years.

After Richard graduated from college he and Jean Ann settled in Lake Stevens where their son David was born.

Jean Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alice Moore.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard H. Toyer of Everett, WA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Heather Toyer of Burlington, Iowa; as well as her grandchildren, Henry, Abby and Ian of Burlington, Iowa; as well as her mother-in-law, Bertha Gilmore of Startup, WA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, 1702 Pacific Ave. in Everett.

Funeral services will commence at Zion Lutheran Church, 4634 Alger Ave. in Everett, on Thursday, June 27 at 1 p.m .; Jean Ann’s 67th birthday. Immediately following the graveside committal, a celebration of her life will be held at the Everett Golf and Country Club.
