Notice of LSF Commissioner Board opening

Lake Stevens Fire currently has an opening on the Board of Fire Commissioners. General information regarding Lake Stevens Fire can be found on the LSF website:

Interested individuals must be residents of the Lake Stevens Fire District for at least 30 days and be a registered voter. This position is subject to election during the 2013 November general election. The individual appointed to fill this position will serve until the November election certification.

The special filing dates for this six year elected Commissioner term will be August 7, 8, and 9. The general election will be held November 5, 2013. Any questions regarding the election process can be referred to Heather Sorgen with Snohomish County Elections at 425-388-3321.

Individuals interested in serving on the Board of Commissioners should hand deliver or mail a letter of interest along with a resume including current contact information to the following address:

Letters of interest and resumes must be postmarked or hand delivered to the address above by 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 7.

Currently the regular Commissioner Meetings for Lake Stevens Fire are scheduled for the first and third Thursdays of the month at 9:30 a.m. and located at the HQ Board Room at 1825 South Lake Stevens Road, Lake Stevens.

A Special Commissioner Meeting will be scheduled in order for the Fire Commissioners to meet with the interested candidates. Lake Stevens Fire welcomes all who are interested to participate in the process.
