Boy Scouts of America celebrate ‘A Century of Honor’
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints extends an invitation to all
The Marysville and Snohomish Stakes of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints extend an invitation to all members of local LDS and non-LDS scouting units, including Cub Scouts, to join them in attending a special broadcast on Tuesday, October 29 in commemoration of the Church’s 100-year affiliation with the Boy Scouts of America.
This event, called “A Century of Honor” will originate from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and be broadcast live at 6 p.m. throughout locations in North America, including the Marysville LDS Building at 9215 51st Ave. NE in Marysville, the Lake Stevens building at 10120 Chapel Hill Dr. and in Monroe on 17332 Tester Rd.
They are asking all attending to be in their seats by 5:50 p.m ., program starts at 6 p.m.
There will also be scouting displays and refreshments after the broadcast at the Marysville building.
The program will feature Scout choirs, historical vignettes and videos highlighting important events, scout service and achievements of scouts during the past century.
Thousands of Scouts from the Utah area of all ages will participate. National BSA leaders and executive board members, along with church leaders are expected to attend.
