Letters from the Past
These letters were given to Ad Shoudy, Lake Stevens Journal, owner/publisher in 1960 by C.G. Cochburn, who operated the Lake Stevens Hometown News in the 1940's.
Cochburn lived in Lake Stevens, until his death in the 1990's.
Each of these letters were written during World War II by men and women from the Lake Stevens community.
Journal Publisher Desiree Cahoon donated at least 200 of these letters to the Lake Stevens Historical Society.
We want to thank all of the local businesses and service groups who have sponsored a letter to be published in this week's Lake Stevens Journal.
