Christmas cheer abounds in Lake Stevens

Even with the below freezing temperatures, folks all over Lake Stevens celebrated the beginning of the Christmas season in droves on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The annual Dickens Fair offered something for everyone with its booths of handmade crafts and foods and the choirs of students singing holiday favorites.

Cascade Park offered a live Nativity, among other booths with blazing bon fires and hot cocoa popcorn and brownies.

On to the annual tree lighting ceremony in downtown Lake Stevens where Santa stopped by and took orders for Christmas gifts from kids of all ages.

Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant had bustling firefighters trying to pick up some extra tips at this year's Tips for Firefighters event. Lake Stevens Fire uses the donated funds to purchase Christmas gifts for children in need in Lake Stevens.

Thanks to all who helped with these exciting traditions!
