Sheriff's deputy helps round up horses in Lake Stevens

On Thursday, Jan. 2 one of our Snohomish County Sheriff's Deputies, Marty Weinbaum stepped off his motorcycle on 99th Ave. SE in Lake Stevens to help neighbors round up some ponies who were running in the street.

The deputy commented to one of those present that this was his first time doing a round up.

"I happened to go out to check the mailbox. It was early in the round-up and many neighbors came out to help," neighbor Maka Moon said. "An animal control officer, the offiicer and the horse owners and a half dozen neighbors just came together to help."

Neighbors were grateful for the help from the Snohomish County deputy.

If you need help in your neighborhood feel free to call 911 for assistance.
