Library happenings for February

Here are some exciting and fun programs for kids at the Granite Falls Library in February:

Furry Friends & a Book

Read aloud to loving canine listeners who help children strengthen reading skills. Spring, a Labrador Retriever, is a trained Pet Partners’ Therapy Dog, and Andre, a Briard, is a Therapy Dogs International trained canine. Human partners are Christina Bunn/Sonia Thompson. For school-age children with caregiver. Tuesday, February 4 at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Ready Readers Preschool Storytime

Let imaginations run wild with fun books, sing-alongs, and creative activities that prepare young minds for the adventures of reading. Playtime will follow. For ages 3 to 5 years. Caregiver required. Supported by Friends of the Granite Falls Library.  Storytime theme: Transportation. Thursdays, February 6, 13, 20, 27 at 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Bats Don't Suck!

Learn about Northwest bats, their importance, and dispel some common misconceptions. You’ll even build your own bat house with Brian Raven! Limited space so please register in advance. For ages 7 and up. Supported by Granite Falls Friends of the Library.  Call the library or register online 360-691-6087/www.sno-isle.org. Saturday, February 22 at 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
