Sno-Isle Libraries welcomes new managers


Sno-Isle Libraries is proud to welcome five new managers.

Miriam Driss was selected as the managing librarian at the Lake Stevens Library in November 2013. Previously Driss held several positions at the King County Library System, including reference librarian at the Shoreline Library and assistant manager at the Sammamish Library.

She also managed libraries for Seattle Public Library in Montlake and Madrona. Driss began her career as a children's librarian in Philadelphia.

Jocelyn Redel was named managing librarian at the Arlington Library in August 2013, where she served as a librarian for more than five years. 

Chy Ross was selected as the managing librarian at Mountlake Terrace Library in August 2013. He previously held several positions including assistant manager at the Mill Creek Library and managing libraries in Lake Stevens and Snohomish. Ross joined Sno-Isle Libraries in 2005 as an adult/teen librarian.

The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation welcomed Paul Pitkin as the new executive director in November 2013. Pitkin was previously the vice president of marketing and corporate relations at Easter Seals Washington since 2011 after being vice president of philanthropy for nine years and stewardship manager for one year.

Julie Titone was named Sno-Isle Libraries' communications and marketing manager in January 2014. A former Northwest journalist, Titone has served as director of communications at the Joan B. Kroc institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame and, most recently, at Washington State University's College of Education.
