Crossroads Church welcomes new pastor

The Crossroads @ Lake Stevens, a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church of America, is excited to announce its new Pastor, Doug Kothe.

Kothe was raised in New York. He was a High School athlete and played soccer and volleyball in college. Prior to pastoral ministry, he served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. He worked in their Athletes in Action ministry for eight years. During this time he met his wife, Lori while she was also on staff with Campus Crusade.

After their marriage they switched their focus and served with the Life Builders ministry of Campus Crusade doing marriage ministry for three years. They also began attending Christ the King PCA church in Houston, Texas. Encouraged by the church to pursue seminary, they left Campus Crusade to do so. The Kothes chose Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, because of its excellent reputation for training pastors both in theology and in the practical aspects of life as a pastor.

They spent five years at Covenant. They both received their Master of Divinity degree in 2010. During this time they were interns at a local PCA church where they led a small group ministry, a marriage ministry, retreats, mission trips and learned to love the local church.

The Crossroads @ Lake Stevens is a community based church built on close relationships with one another. Their mission is to grow as a community of people who are being transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ. They desire to see Christ’s transforming work extended to the community around us as we seek to serve and love our neighbors and our city.

Please come and meet the new pastor on Sunday morning. Pastor Doug also can be reached at 425-334-7079 or email him at doug@crossroadslakesteven.com.

Sunday School for children and adults alike starts at 9:30 a.m. The Worship Service is from 10:30 to noon. The Church is located at the Crossroads of 20th SE and South Lake Stevens Road.
