The police department responded to 505 incidents in the week of March 02, 2014 through March 08, 2014. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:
Theft, 03/02/14, 8400 blk of 15th Pl SE
An 18 year-old male is under investigation for theft of a purse, after an 18 year-old female victim reported her purse stolen to law enforcement. The purse was taken during a party and happened to contain a GPS device which gave its location. The case is currently under investigation.
Burglary, 03/02/14, 300 blk of North Davies
A 28 year-old female reported that her residence had been burglarized while she was away. It appeared that the suspects gained access to the residence by smashing the sliding glass door. Several items were taken. Case is under currently under investigation.
Burglary, 03/03/14, 9800 blk of 6th Pl SE
A 28 year-old female reported that her residence had been burglarized while she was in her backyard. When the victim returned inside from the yard she heard noises in the home and activated the alarm. She and her child fled outside and awaited police. Once police arrived on scene a security check was performed and the house was cleared. A report was taken and will be reopened pending further suspect information.
Harassment, 03/04/14 1800 blk of Vernon Road
A 46 year-old male allegedly threatened a 22 year-old female door-to-door salesperson. The homeowner made threatening statements about a weapon to female and told her to get off his property. The case is currently investigating.
Driving Under the Influence (DUI)/Collision Hit and Run, 03/05/14, 800 blk of Frontage Rd
An officer performed a traffic stop on the 58 year-old male for a non reportable hit and run collision. While investigated the collision it was discovered the suspect was possibly DUI. The male was processed and a search warrant was obtained for a blood draw. The male was booked into the Marysville Jail.
Harassment, 03/08/14, 8900 blk of 10th Pl SE
A 49 year-old male as arrested for Harassment. The 38 year-old female victim stated the male sent her threatening message telling her he was on his way over to harm her. Upon arrival the male stabbed the garage door several times and refused to leave. The male was taken into custody and booked into Snohomish County Jail.
