Lights & Sirens: March 30, 2014 through April 5, 2014

 


The police department responded to 418 incidents in the week of March 30, 2014 through April 5, 2014. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Assault 3, Assault 4 Domestic Violence (DV), 04/01/2014, 1400 block of Lake Shore Drive

A 34-year-old male was arrested for Assault 3 x2 and Assault 4 DV. Officers were dispatched to a confrontation where the male grabbed a 25-year old female by her throat, pushed her to the ground and slapped her. While the male was being taken into custody he assaulted two officers by kicking them. The male was booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Theft 3°, 04/01/2014, 8900 block of Market Place

A 42-year-old female was arrested for Theft 3°. An officer was dispatched to a report of shoplifting. A 24-year-old male reported that a female had shoplifted several consumable items. The female was contacted and found to be in possession of these items. The female was advised that criminal charges would be forwarded to the court and she was released.

Theft/Vehicle Prowl, 04/02/2014, 1100 Blk of Frontier Circle East

A 21-year old female reported a theft from her vehicle. The female’s vehicle was entered and several items were taken while she was working out at the gym. There is no suspect information at this time.

Warrant Arrest/Violation of No Contact Order/Driving While License Suspended 3° (DWLS)/Obstructing, 04/03/2014, 9000 Blk of SR 204

A 26-year old male was arrested for outstanding warrants, violation of no contact order, DWLS and obstructing. While on patrol, an officer was following a suspicious vehicle with malfunctioning lights. With initial contact, the driver gave the officer an incorrect name. When an assisting officer arrived, the driver was recognized. A computer check was conducted and it was found that the driver had outstanding warrants and a suspended license. The computer check also revealed that there was an active no contact order between the passenger and the driver resulting in additional charges. The male was booked into the Marysville Jail.

Collision, 04/04/2014, 87th Ave SE/3rd Street SE

A 45-year old female struck an unoccupied parked car. The female was contacted when she attempted to leave the scene. There were no injuries. The scene was cleared without incident.
