17th Annual Butterfly Celebration Honors At-risk and Homeless Youth with Bright Future

17th Annual Butterfly Celebration; Comcast Event Center;

2000 Hewitt Avenue, Everett; April 17th 12:00 noon. Tickets $15.

Everett, WA – On April 17th homeless and at risk youth from Cocoon House will be recognized and honored for their perseverance and hard work. The community is invited to join us in celebrating these brave teens and young adults at Cocoon House’s Butterfly Graduation. It’s not your typical graduation. Noisemakers give you the opportunity to cheer – loudly – for these teens as they receive medals for staying clean and sober, graduating, getting their GED, maintaining housing, and many other non-traditional accomplishments. The Butterfly Graduation is a time to not only recognize our youth’s hard work to change paths, but to listen to their incredible stories and learn how they overcame their obstacles.

“These are teens and young adults who have faced challenges some of us will never face in order to become who they are today,” said Cocoon House CEO, Cassie Franklin. “Their successes have required a great deal of personal commitment and strength.”

Everyone in the community is invited to attend. Admission is $15 with a suggested donation of $100. Proceeds from the luncheon directly benefit Cocoon House’s work with these teens and young people. Come show your support to our youth and let them know their community cares.
