The latest black belt recipients at Tiger's Black Belt Academy.

On March 22, 10 people earned their Black Belt through hard work and dedication at Tiger's Black Belt Academy in Lake Stevens.

New Black Belts include Bryce Waxham (age 8), Jaydon Kaplan (age 9), Mekhi Brenberger (age 9), Delaney Riddle (age 11), Benjamin Byler (age 12), Chloe Brenberger (age 12), Kyle Leary (age 13), Bobby Marsh (age 59) and Michelle Marsh (age 59). Whitney Partlow (age 12) earned her second Degree Black Belt.

Each one of them has a special story and journey, but one of the most inspirational stories has come from Bobby and Michelle Marsh who enrolled at Tiger's Black Belt Academy in 2009.

Being married for 33 years, they decided to start Tae Kwon Do as a couple's activity. They've overcome so much in the last five years.

Bobby is a two-time cancer survivor and Michelle has also had to battle breathing problems, as well as chronic bronchitis and pneumonia. Through discouragement and struggles, they keep pressing on, doing all they can do to get better and into full swing.

Michelle said Tae Kwon Do has been a life-changing journey of dedication, determination, and self discipline, exceeding their physical and mental limits and capabilities.

Bob also states that the "you can do it" attitude from Master Shin and other students at the DoJang has helped him persevere until the end.
