Opportunities for Athletes and Volunteers at Ironman

The preparation for IRONMAN 70.3 Lake Stevens is underway as many members

of our community are preparing for race day, developing volunteer teams to

assist along the course, coordinating the race day activities as well as

facilitating the necessary steps for the coordination of the triathlon. For

this event scheduled for August 17th, athletes will begin with a 1.2-mile

swim from the North Cove boat launch in downtown Lake Stevens. The

moderately hilly 56-mile bike course traverses some of the most beautiful

terrain our area has to offer. The race finishes with a run that goes

beyond the downtown area and into the surrounding community. This is not

just a local event. Athletes come from around the world to participate.

There will be 30 qualifying Age Group slots to the 2015 IRONMAN 70.3 World

Championship.

Are you looking for something fun for kids and adults in Lake Stevens in

August? You may consider joining other volunteers along the course on race

day or at some of the opportunities leading up to the event. Information

regarding registration and volunteer opportunities can be found at
