Lake Stevens High School Drama Club is pleased to present the heart-warming musical Tarzan, music by Edgar Rice Burroughs; lyrics by Phil Collins; book by David Henry Hwang. Directed by LSHS' own Carrie Gerrard.
Tarzan tells the classic tale of a shipwreck that leaves an infant boy orphaned on the shores of West Africa. As he grows and matures, the boy yearns for acceptance from his ape father and to discover the reason for his uniqueness. Eventually he encounters his first human - Jane Porter, a curious young explorer - and all of their worlds are transformed. Noah Dominick as Porter, Isaac Munn as Clayton, Jake Tucker as Kerchak, Candace Duplessis as Kala, Josh Pulley as Terk, Kiana Murkerson as Jane and Mason Beaver as Tarzan along with 28 other talented cast and crew.
Tarzan runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday; April 24th,25th and 26th and May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 7:00 PM at the LSHS PAC Auditorium and features one matinee performance on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased at the door and are $10.00 for adults & students w/out ASB, $9.00 for seniors & students with ASB, $8.00 for children 12 and under and children under 3 are free. The LSHS Drama Booster Club will host a special opening weekend dinner theater/silent auction. Tickets are $25.00 and must be purchased in advance.
