Oso on our mind

Like many others throughout the community and country, people here want to help those affected by the devastation and tragedy in Oso.  Everywhere you look people are reaching out to help and here are two more businesses in Lake Stevens that have a plan in place to collect funds for Oso.

Sahara Pizza located in downtown Lake Stevens will donate one dollar for every carry out order placed between now and April 30, to the Oso Mudslide North County Family Services. Minimum order $9.99.  For more information visit www.saharapizza.com.  To order call Sahara Pizza at 425.335.5000.

Norms market is conducting a “Round-up” for Oso victims now through the end of the month.  Every time you purchase items at Norms you can simply “round-up” your payment to the next dollar and all change collected will become part of the donation.

Owner of Norms Market, Shane McDaniel, said, “Our goal is to reach a donation of $10,000”.  At press, the donations had already hit the $4,000 mark.  In the future McDaniel looks to continue the “Round-up” option to benefit various community non profits and organizations.  Donations collected will be deposited with Costal Community Bank Oso Fund.
