Moderate Sen. Steve Hobbs, D-Lake Stevens, has already earned the endorsement of all the Mayors of the cities within the 44th District, which includes Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Marysville and Mill Creek.
The mayors of each of those cities have also endorsed him for re-election, giving him a great advantage over his opponents.
"I am proud to have the endorsement of all the Mayors of cities which reside in my District. The leaders of these communities, some of whom are Republicans and Democrats, understand that by working together and across the aisle is needed to get things done," said Senator Hobbs. "I look forward to continue the hard working relationships I have with Mayors: Nehring, Little, Guzak, and Pruitt to make our community a better place."
Hobbs was elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 to the Washington State Senate in the 44th District, which is politically balanced between Democrats, Republicans and Independents.
"Steve Hobbs is a determined, outspoken advocate for his constituents," said Lake Stevens Mayor Vern Little. "He knows when to lead and how to lead effectively."
In addition to serving in the Washington State Senate, Hobbs serves as an officer in the Washington National Guard and proudly served in Iraq and Kosovo. He and his wife Pam have three boys and live in Lake Stevens.
