The Board of Directors would like to thank and recognize the volunteers who donated their time to the Lake Stevens School District this year. Individuals selected as volunteers of the year were recognized at the district's annual Volunteer Celebration and Recognition Event held May 7, 2014 at the Lake Stevens High School Performing Arts Center. Also honored at the event were student artists who created the images utilized in the 2013-2014 school calendar.

The Distinguished Service Award was presented to Donata Thomas for her leadership of the 2013-2014 levy campaign. Under her leadership, our levy volunteers placed yard signs, made hundreds of phone calls and rallied this community in support of our schools. Through this award we thank her and the other members of the Citizen's Committee for their hard work and dedication.
