Premier Dance is a new dance studio coming to Lake Stevens, and will be hosting a free event to meet teachers, check out the space with music and free treats. August 23rd – 10AM – 2PM at the studio – 25 95th Drive NE, Near Anytime Fitness.

Children’s Musical Theater Camp August 18 – 29, 2014 – 9 am – noon Class limited to 12 students Elementary/K-6 Instructor: Jenn Odell Cost $200.00 Call 360-568-9412 or email [email protected] to register. In this session, campers will perform It’s Saturday!, a musical celebrating a kid’s “day off.” From watching cartoons to piano lessons, from football prectice to chores, we will explore the many possible options for activites – or are they options?

COMMUNITY

Friday Music Jam Sessions for Adults and Youth with Developmental Disabilities Youth and adults of all musical abilities are invited to Village Music and Art’s Summer Friday Music jam sessions featuring live music by Jon Dalgarn and Voices of the Village. Youth volunteers are also welcome. Bring your own instrument or use ours. Jam sessions are every Friday, 1pm to 3 pm at 338 North McLeod, Arlington, WA. Schack Art Center Open Art Studio Looking for a space to create? The Schack is offering “Free Fridays” open art studio on select Friday afternoons from 12-4 pm (no registration required). You bring your art supplies, we provide space for art-making! The Checkerboard Squares Square Dance Club is starting beginner level square dances at the Masonic Hall, 515 Dayton St. in Edmonds, classes are from 6-8 Sunday nights until March. First lesson is free, after that they are $5.00 each, dress is casual. Singles are welcome but it would be desirable to bring a partner if possible. !!ROAD CLOSURE!!

The Snohomish County Public Works advises motorists in the Lake Stevens area of the road closure on 12th St NE (Hjort Rd) at Bridge #545. This road closure will be from Monday 7/28/14 through Friday 8/2/14, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Traffice will return to working order at the end of each day. Snohomish County Road Maintenance crews have been granted permission to close 12th St NE at Bridge #545 between N Machias Rd and 135th ave NE for bridge pulling and wall repairs.
