Tigers Black Belt Academy -U.S. National Team from the 13th World University Taekwondo Championship in Hohhot, China
It was huge success for the U.S ., said Master Shin of Lake Stevens Tigers Black Belt Academy. Shin’s U.S. National Team brought home 1 gold medal, their first in 20 years, and 10 bronze medals from 13th World University Taekwondo Championship China, Hohhot.
Six years have past since the whole U.S. National Team has been able to attend this type of competition. With the average result only garnering one or two bronze medals. According to Master Shin most Asian and European countries universities who major in Taekwondo receive a great deal of support from their government and competitors.
“That’s why many other country leaders congratulate the United State’s success. “Fashion of pure amateur beat world class professional player.” Said Master Shin. Most of our team members had no experience in world championship competition, that’s why Shin did his best to encourage them to try their hardest and have no regrets.
